Regain ropes and inclined descent ropes can be made to any length but standard sizes are 24′ (7.3m). Ropes are made in 40mm polypropylene (or 36mm as an option) and fitted with galvanised shackles rivetted to both ends. Ropes are normally attached to a loop or bracket on the frame with a 5/8″ D shackle on one end plus either 1 bottlescrew or 2 off 5/8″ D shackles and 1 length of chain. These are not included in the price.
One end of the regain rope will normally be attached to a wire going to a manual winch for tensioning.
